Mont Lux Member Ryan Holland Cast as Superman in Independent Short Film

Mont Lux member Ryan Holland has taken on one of the most recognized roles in modern storytelling: Superman.

In the independent DC fan film Superman: The American God Myth, produced by Fiction Films Studios, Ryan portrays Clark Kent/Superman in a character-focused interpretation of the iconic figure.

The film was written and directed by Ellie Blanca, an emerging filmmaker mounting her first major production. She assembled an experienced technical team, including Director of Photography Ron Gonzales, known for his work on Vindication and The Chosen, along with stunt coordinator John Critz.

Two additional North Houston creatives were part of the production: Annie Cole served as makeup artist, and Jacob Holland—Ryan’s son—worked as 1st Assistant Director and assistant stunt coordinator.

Filming took place over five days at Capernaum Studios, bringing together a crew of roughly 20 professionals and a principal cast that includes Charline Angele Cleaver as Lois Lane and John Goad as Lex Luthor.

Post-production is currently underway, with a YouTube release expected later this summer.
